A Bit About Us
Mr. O. Morton Edwards (the father of Jim Edwards, a future governor of SC) established the St. Paul’s Garden Club in 1929. He taught agriculture at St. Paul’s High School and began the garden club as a way to educate and involve community members in improving their surroundings.
A few years later in 1932 the club was federated as a member of the National Council of State Garden Clubs, Inc., The Garden Club of SC, Inc., South Atlantic Region, the East Low Country District and the Council of Garden Clubs of Greater Charleston.
The St. Paul’s Garden club serves St. Paul’s parish which includes Adams Run, Hollywood, Meggett, Ravenel, Edisto, Rantowles and Yonges Island.

Goals and Objectives
Our goals include managing garden projects as well as donating gardens throughout the communities we serve.
We also believe it's important to support our youth by awarding horticulture scholarships on an annual basis.
Primary Objectives
-
to advance the fine art of gardening, horticulture and floral design
-
to aid and protect natural resources, to provide civic beauty, and to encourage the improvement of roadsides and parks
-
to collaborate with other garden clubs and organizations in the foregoing objectives
